Michael Aspiring Filmmaker

The video link at the bottom of this post was the beginning
of wanting to be a filmmaker.
I wanted to make a video about my glass blowing, but didn’t know how. So I hooked up with a drop-out filmmaker From the University of New Mexico By the name of Rob Ellis. I had just got an Apple pro-book for editing and rob rounded up a camera. I have given Rob Ellis Most of the credit for video, but I was over his shoulder threw out the process, pulling a dream and vision together that I’ve had for a long time. I was so turned on by the process that I decided to buy a camera, then I volunteered for the 2007 Duke City Shoot Out. Working on a piece called Maconie’s List. Witch turned out to be a real nightmare for first real film set, I even quit on the last day as a soundman.
In hindsight if I had been aware, that it was going to be such a hostile environment. To make matters worse we were being fed lots of sugar, I thought people were going to start throwing down. But then something happen, that I’m glad I got to see Because I did go back. Except I went back with my camera, and videoed the last night of the shoot, and witnessed A transformation from, at each other’s throats to really working together.
I think that was the real turning point for me. I new then more than ever I wanted to be a producer/filmmaker I went on to help Rob make a few more short video in my desire to learn. In hindsight to that, we should have been working on helping other people produce videos that made money. That probably would have saved or friendship.
